The 2016 Media Innovation Award Winners Announced

Last night the annual Media Innovation Awards recognized some of the best media campaigns of the year. Here are the winning Out-of-Home campaigns:

Gold Awards:

  • PPG-Sico and their creative agencies PHD Media and Bleublancrouge won the Best Use of Media in the “Innovation in Out-of-Home/Ambient/Place-based media – budget over $100K” category for their campaign “The Magic of Colours” in Montreal.
  • Raising the Roof and the Leo Burnett agency won the Best Use of Media for the campaign “Coming Soon” in the “Innovation in Out-of-Home/Ambient/Place-based media – budget under $100K” and “Innovation in Experiential/Special Events/Stunts – Budget under $100K” categories.
  • The Salvation Army and the agency Grey also went home with the Best Use of Media in the “Innovation in Experiential/Special Events/Stunts – Budget under $100K” category, as well as the Best in Products & Services under the “Best in Charities, Health Care and Safety, Public Awareness Messages” category for their campaign called “Open House”.
  • Touché agency and Via Rail won the Best in Niche Marketing for the “Winter Way to Travel” campaign in the “Best in Data Driven/Programmatic Marketing” category.
  • General Mills and Cossette Media won the Best in Products & Services under the “Best in Consumer Goods” category for their “Honey Nuts Cheerios: Bring back the Bees” campaign.

Silver Awards:

  • TD and Leo Burnett won the Best Use of Media in the “Innovation in Out-of-Home/Ambient/Place-based media – budget under $100K” category for the “Pride Ride” campaign.
  • BMO Financial Group the FCB Toronto agency won Best Use of Media for the “NBATM” campaign  in the “Innovation in Out-of-Home/Ambient/Place-based media – budget over $100K”.
  • Bleublancrouge agency and the Association des concessionnaires automobiles Toyota du Québec won the Best Use of Media in the “Innovation in Experiential/Special Events/Stunts – Budget under $100K” category for the “Toyota Test Drive”.
  • Sport Check and Touché agency won the Silver for the Niche Marketing under the “Best In Data-Driven/Programmatic Marketing” for their campaign “Sport Check Reinvents Out-of-Home”.
