Rogers Radio wanted to promote their local Vancouver radio station, 104.9 The SONIC Nation, by engaging consumers through an interactive DOOH game reflecting the hit station’s fun spirit.

Target Group:

On-the-Go Consumers.

Strategy and Media Used:

Monster Media worked directly with Rogers Radio to launch the campaign within the highly trafficked Vancouver City Centre Station to reach coveted on-the-go consumers. The oversized LCD Transit Wall featured an interactive game that challenged participants to “keep the hitsgoing.” To begin the game, users simply touched the display. Then, through gestural queues, they attempted to “hit” volleyballs as they fell from the top of the screen. Points were accumulated for each ball successfully kept aloft. Those lucky enough to hit the top of the charts and achieve a high score were able to add their initials to a virtual leader board that appeared on screen at the end of every game!

Results:

The campaign proved to be a huge “hit” among participants! During an eight week period, over 14,200 commuters stopped to take on the challenge to keep the hits going!
