In September 2005, five out-of-home companies: Astral Media Outdoor, NEWAD, Pattison Outdoor, CBS Outdoor, and Zoom Media announced the creation of the Out-of-Home Marketing Association of Canada (OMAC).
Since then, membership has grown with the addition of Lamar Transit, Metromedia Plus, OBN and Titan360.
OMAC member companies represent over 90% of the country’s Out-of-Home media inventory, and through OMAC they collectively promote their strengths and develop new initiatives to increase understanding of the out-of-home medium among agencies and advertisers.
OMAC members support the communities they do business in by donating advertising space to charities and non-profit organizations. OMAC members contribute more than $ 10 million a year in advertising space for public service messages.
